You can’t escape them –
At every age, life is going to throw challenges your way. You have to face them – to keep moving on – and, often, that means change.
Grief, marriage, children, job change, job loss, illness, divorce, retirement, we can’t predict every possibility each new day may bring.
Transitions are, by nature, unsettling, both practically and emotionally. And, whether typical or atypical, they’re also powerful.
Seems like a fancy way to say that things change at different times in your life. You’re right; it is, and they do. What you often may not realize is the impact these have on your daily functioning, behaviors, moods, thoughts.
Transitions can be SO positive SO often; but sometimes, they’re unexpected, outside your control, or against your will. Coping with typical or atypical transitions can be unsettling – depending on your level of acceptance and adaption.
So, which way will you go?
The skills you use – or DO NOT use – and the view you have of yourself and others affect your overall quality of life.
We all respond differently to transitions, but inside you have resilience and an ability to overcome, endure, and thrive. That resilience can be either diluted or concentrated – depending on your life context – your past, present, and future narrative.
You may appear to coast along, or you may find a bumpy road. You may be skilled at putting on a brave face while you struggle internally, or you may openly express your challenges. In truth, both experiences can be externally deceptive.
And both need support.
Two for the road…
I’m the bridge up, over, and through for you.
Together, we’ll blend two potent and dynamic forces: professional and personal experience.
My role is to accompany you on your journey, to recognize and point out normal feelings, and to support you when and if you’re struggling.
I will point out rational fears and irrational fears. We will create small goals and build successful results.
We will then set our sights on bigger goals, as I highlight what you have accomplished with determination and mindset.
We will learn it is normal to be afraid at times but not afraid of failure. Failures bring knowledge. Specifically, we will analyze desired goals created and map out rewards and costs, upside and downside. I will support you as you create your future narrative and make it a reality.
You’ve been on a hamster wheel long enough. You have been stuck for too long.
Please call me today at (203) 441-7060, ext. 701, and get unstuck!
