What are you looking for today?
If you think you want a therapist who sits back in a chair, nods, says little, and agrees with everything you say, you can stop reading.
If you think you want someone to sit back, collect money while we blame outside factors, your parents, your spouse, work, etc. for all your struggles, you can stop reading, and I am happy to refer you elsewhere.
BUT, If you want someone to stand with you, by you, for you, steadfast, compassionate, decisive, patient, and empowering, call me.
If you desire practical outside perspective to navigate a difficult life transition, relationship struggles, blended family issues, low self-esteem, feeling lost or dissatisfied, call me.
If you are a young teen or young adult simply searching for purpose or courage to move forward and want someone who will speak to you honestly, call me.
We will do what’s right – not what’s easy – for you or me.
We will stand up and protect your value system by bringing out inner strength.
Give me 15 minutes, and you will know whether I am the therapist you are destined to meet.
Goals:
Well, your goal is to solve an issue. Yes, you have one, or you would not be on this page.
It doesn’t matter if you think it’s big or small. If it bothers you, it matters.
My goal is to encourage you to get you to my office. The other goal is to get you out of it!
“Give a man a fish, feed him for a day; teach him to fish, and you feed him for a lifetime.”
I will teach you to fish.
You must know this: I do not ever work harder than my clients are willing to work.
I do not and will not chase you around. You will want to come here if we are doing our job.
This is your life. It is time to recognize it for all its worth, for your worth. Invest in yourself and “You have me at hello.”
My office is nicely furnished, a safe, empathetic place.
But I don’t spray lavender all over and tell you it will all be ok.
We work together, support, focus, and measure progress and solutions. We work with reality, connection, interpersonal/intrapersonal solutions.
If you are not eager to come back because of lack of progress, you and I will determine why. Solutions, progress, support, strength, compassion.
Relationships: That’s what it all boils down to.
You are here – whether you admit it or not – because you are struggling with a relationship: to yourself, your thoughts, your emotions, to your significant other, family (blended or not), or friends.
You feel trapped in an unfulfilling relationship.
You’re not alone.
Separation or Divorce
Even the idea of the end brings up feelings of fear, failure, and loneliness.
Let me help you navigate the stages of relationship saving, or pre- or post-divorce struggles.
Life’s Three C’s
You are on this page seeking Life’s Three C’s:
- Choice
- Chance
- Change
You must make a choice, to take the chance, if you want anything in life to change.
You need help with these three things; let me be your fourth “C.”
Choice, Chance, Change, and Cliff.
About Cliff
My strength lies in identifying barriers to success – whether emotional, behavioral, psychosocial, or environmental. Thoughts, feelings, and behavior are always linked; change one and you can change any or all.
I will identify with your strengths and skills – and empower you to use them. I believe in you, even when you may not believe in yourself. The solution lies within. I know how to connect, to lend you my passion and faith in you so that you may discover your capabilities.
